About the Design
I tried to write my own myth for this design.
Legend speaks of a beast, the Guardian of the Radiant Sun, a majestic creature with the body of a lion, wings of an eagle, and scales of a dragon, fiercely protecting the sun from the forces of darkness. Whenever malevolent shadows attempt to shroud the world in gloom, the Guardian takes flight, its' vibrant scales catching the light & casting brilliant rainbows across the heavens. These rainbows are a sign to all that the Guardian is in battle, warding off evil and ensuring the sun's radiant light continues to shine upon the Earth.
